We are committed to providing reliable equipment solutions and exceptional service to our clients. Job Overview We are seeking a motivated Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of heavy trucks, industrial equipment, and farm machinery. Your expertise will ensure our fleet operates safely and efficiently, supporting our reputation for quality and dependability. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and air brake systems. Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using schematics, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manuals, and automotive diagnostics tools. Repair and overhaul diesel engines, transmissions, axles, and other heavy equipment components with precision. Fabricate parts or modifications using hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs. Perform tire service, wheel alignments, heavy lifting, and equipment assembly to maintain operational standards. Maintain detailed service records, complete work orders accurately, and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Assist with heavy equipment operation during repairs or maintenance tasks as needed. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience working with heavy trucks and industrial equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical components. Skilled in using schematics for troubleshooting complex issues on Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and automotive diagnostics software. Experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment such as excavators or forklifts when necessary.
