Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of diesel-powered equipment and vehicles, including heavy construction machinery, farm equipment, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operational goals and customer satisfaction. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components using schematics and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) specifications. Conduct repairs and maintenance on construction machinery such as excavators, cranes, bulldozers, and loaders to ensure optimal performance. Service and repair farm machinery including tractors and other agricultural equipment with attention to safety standards. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and fabrication skills to complete repairs efficiently. Conduct heavy lifting tasks safely while replacing tires, repairing brakes, aligning wheels, and performing suspension work on various heavy equipment. Diagnose electrical issues related to industrial equipment using electrical diagnostics tools; troubleshoot automotive systems for engine performance issues. Maintain detailed service records, complete inspection reports, and follow safety protocols during all repair activities to ensure compliance with industry standards. Experience Proven experience working as a Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Technician within a dealership or industrial setting. Strong background in construction equipment servicing, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery. Familiarity with schematics for electrical diagnostics and mechanical troubleshooting across diverse vehicle types. Hands-on experience with OEM parts replacement and assembly processes for diesel engines and transmissions. Knowledge of HVAC systems related to heavy equipment comfort controls is a plus. Demonstrated ability to operate heavy equipment such as loaders or tractor-trailers is desirable. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in welding, fabrication, tire service, and hydraulic repairs enhances your versatility as a mechanic.
