Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled mobile Diesel Mechanic to join our team, responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment and vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, experience with heavy equipment, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse machinery including farm equipment, industrial machinery, and commercial trucks, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, shocks & struts, and wheel alignments. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues across various equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and power tools. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, and other fabrication techniques. Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or testing procedures. Use hand tools and power tools effectively for assembly and disassembly tasks. Maintain detailed service records and ensure all repairs meet safety regulations and quality standards. Assist with equipment inspections to identify potential issues before failure occurs. Support customer service efforts by providing professional communication regarding repair status and recommendations. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment repair background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical components. Experience working with farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy machinery. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately. Skilled in welding, soldering, fabrication techniques, and use of hand tools or power tools. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex mechanical issues efficiently. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various environmental conditions. Valid driver's license preferred; relevant certifications such as ASE or manufacturer-specific training are a plus. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to quality workmanship and safety standards while providing exceptional service in maintaining critical equipment.
