Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a diverse fleet of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. In this energetic role, you'll utilize your mechanical expertise to diagnose, troubleshoot, and service diesel engines, heavy machinery, and industrial equipment. Your skills will keep our operations running smoothly, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability across all transportation and machinery functions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of machinery, from dump trucks to ramp trucks, while applying your fabrication and repair skills in a fast-paced environment. A CDL license is not required, but preferable. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment repair background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and HVAC components. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and diagnostic tools for automotive repair. Ability to read schematics accurately and follow technical manuals for complex repairs. Experience working with heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or industrial equipment is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with customer service orientation to communicate effectively with team members. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely; comfortable working in various environmental conditions. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and other heavy equipment components. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, and air brake inspections to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Fabricate and modify parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to meet repair specifications. Operate heavy machinery including trucks, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial equipment safely and efficiently during repairs or testing. Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle or piece of equipment serviced; ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
