Position Overview As a Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of heavy-duty wreckers, rotators, carriers, service trucks, and support vehicles. You will perform diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and repairs that keep our equipment operating safely and efficiently. This position is primarily shop-based but may require mobile service and roadside support when needed. What You'll Be Working On Heavy-duty wreckers and rotator Rollbacks and carriers Service trucks and support vehicles Diesel engines and powertrains Hydraulic systems Electrical systems and diagnostics Air brake systems Suspension and steering components Preventative maintenance programs Key Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy-duty diesel equipment. Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and performance issues using diagnostic software and testing equipment. Repair and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, brakes, suspension systems, and steering components. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems commonly found on towing and recovery equipment. Perform welding, fabrication, and component repairs as needed. Complete roadside and mobile service repairs when required. Maintain accurate repair orders, inspection reports, and service records. Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and DOT standards. Communicate equipment needs and repair recommendations to management. Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and professional shop environment. Required Qualifications Minimum 3-5 years of verifiable diesel mechanic experience ASE Certification(s) and/or Diesel Technician Certification/License (Required) Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience working on heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment Ability to read schematics and service manuals Valid Arizona Driver's License with acceptable MVR Ability to lift heavy components and perform physically demanding work Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail Must provide your own mechanic tools High School Diploma or equivalent Ability to pass: Drug Screening DOT Physical Criminal Background Check Motor Vehicle Record Review Preferred Qualifications Experience with towing and recovery equipment Experience with hydraulic systems CDL License Welding and fabrication experience Experience with Cummins, Paccar, Detroit, Caterpillar, or similar diesel platforms Schedule Full-Time Position 10-12 Hour Shifts Overtime Available Weekend Availability Required Our operation runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year Compensation & Benefits:
