Company:
We're partnered with a major mining company with operations across the U.S., Mexico, and Peru. In the U.S., they employ approximately 1,700 people and run some of the largest copper mining, smelting, and refining facilities in North America. This includes multiple mines and mills right here in Arizona.
What You'll Do:
You'll work both in the shop and out in the field performing maintenance, repairs, and rebuilds on a wide range of heavy equipment. This includes everything from haul trucks and loaders to earthmoving equipment and light vehicles used in mining operations.
Daily Responsibilities:
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on mining equipment Rebuild components such as transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and diesel systems Work on haulage and loading equipment from top brands like Komatsu, Liebherr, and LeTourneau Complete repair reports and communicate clearly with your team and supervisors Use diagnostic systems and maintenance software to support your work Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork
What We're Looking For:
Solid mechanical skills with heavy equipment Ability to diagnose and fix hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine issues Comfortable reading technical manuals and diagrams Strong problem-solving and communication skills Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays - this is a 24/7/365 operation Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather Must meet basic tool requirements
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience with mining or large construction equipment Familiarity with CAT, Cummins, Detroit, MTU engines Air conditioning certification is a plus
What You Need:
High school diploma or GED Associate's degree, trade school training, or equivalent experience 1-2 years of heavy equipment repair experience preferred Apprenticeship completion is a bonus Why Join This Team?
