Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Semi Truck Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic fleet maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company Semi Trucks and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity. This is an exciting opportunity for mechanics passionate about Semi Trucks, and comprehensive vehicle maintenance to make a tangible impact in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Keep a clean and safe work environment. Perform detailed inspections, diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on semi-trucks, tractor-trailers, and heavy equipment. Must have own tools, shop does supply tire changing tools. Conduct repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, and HVAC systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and fabrication techniques to repair or modify parts as needed. Interpret technical schematics and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues on heavy-duty vehicles. Perform tire service, wheel alignments, brake repairs, assembly of parts, and other vehicle maintenance tasks to ensure safety standards are met. Maintain accurate records of all repairs performed and communicate effectively with team members or drivers regarding service needs or issues. Skills Proven experience working on Tractor- Trailers and Dump Trucks Proficiency in ability to interpret schematics and electrical diagrams. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding; capable of using power tools safely. Knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC units. Ability to perform tire service. Excellent ability to communicate technical information clearly; strong mechanical talent combined with hands-on experience in Semi Truck repair or industrial equipment maintenance.
