We are looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic who specializes in cylinder head repairs and electrical systems. Responsibilities Perform cylinder head repairs including removal, inspection, cleaning, and reinstallation Diagnose and repair cracked, warped, or damaged cylinder heads Replace head gaskets, valves, valve seals, and related components Perform compression and leak-down tests to identify engine issues Diagnose and repair electrical system failures on heavy-duty trucks Troubleshoot wiring harnesses, sensors, fuses, relays, and connectors Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
Experience Cylinder Heads:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience removing, inspecting, and reinstalling cylinder heads on heavy-duty diesel engines
Electrical Systems:
Minimum 2 years of experience diagnosing and repairing electrical systems on heavy-duty trucks Experience reading and interpreting wiring diagrams and electrical schematics Hands-on experience troubleshooting wiring harnesses, sensors, relays, fuses, and connectors Experience diagnosing and repairing starting systems, charging systems, and lighting systems Experience using electrical diagnostic tools and multimeters Experience with ABS systems, trailer electrical connections, and ECM/ECU diagnostics a plus Experience working with engines such as Cummins, Detroit, CAT, Paccar, or Volvo Proven experience replacing head gaskets, valves, valve seals, valve springs, and rocker arms Experience performing cylinder head resurfacing and reconditioning Ability to perform compression tests, leak-down tests, and cooling system pressure tests Experience identifying warped, cracked, or burned cylinder heads
Pay:
$19.00 - $26.00 per hour
