Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance, with the ability to work on various types of heavy equipment and farm machinery. This role requires a commitment to safety, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer service-oriented mindset. Duties Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles and heavy equipment, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections. Weld and suspend components as necessary to ensure structural integrity and functionality. Troubleshoot electrical systems and air brake systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Read and interpret schematics to assist in repairs and maintenance tasks. Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs. Qualifications Proven experience in diesel engine repair or related fields is required. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance practices and heavy equipment operation is essential. Strong knowledge of air brake systems, electrical systems, and schematics. Ability to weld and perform suspension work is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications may be beneficial.
