The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with diesel engines, heavy machinery, and various industrial systems. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems on heavy equipment including tractors, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment, and shocks & struts replacement. Utilize schematics and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, and power tools. Conduct inspections of heavy equipment to identify potential issues before failure occurs. Repair or replace vehicle components including brakes, HVAC systems, and electrical wiring. Maintain detailed service records and ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Assist with assembly or disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades. Operate heavy equipment for testing purposes when necessary. Skills Proven experience in heavy equipment service environments. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and electrical troubleshooting. Proficiency with schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for complex machinery. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Experience working with diverse machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and farm equipment. Knowledge of fabrication techniques including welding and soldering. Familiarity with hydraulic systems, air brake systems, suspension components, HVAC systems, and tire services. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong customer service orientation. Mechanical or automotive repair certification is preferred; relevant experience is essential for success in this role.
