T&T Trucking is an industry leader in the hauling of non-hazardous dry bulk commodities. T&T Trucking has been in business for over 50 years specializing in the safe and secure hauling of a variety of bulk commodities. T&T Trucking is family owned and operated and prides itself on the quality customer service it has always provided. T&T Trucking provides services to most of the Western States including California, Nevada, Oregon, Wyoming, Washington, Arizona and Utah. We have a wide selection of specialized trailers and other hauling equipment to ensure your material arrives at its location on time and safely. Position Overview The Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanics are responsible for performing preventative maintenance and general repairs on diesel trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment in accordance with Company and DOT standards. Mechanics complete all necessary repairs with a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficiency. Mechanics serve as both service providers and diagnostic technicians, supporting Drivers, Operations, and Safety personnel by troubleshooting issues and ensuring equipment is operating properly. This role requires effective communication to address equipment concerns and minimize downtime. Mechanics work closely with Safety and Operations teams to maintain compliance, reduce out-of-service occurrences, and ensure all equipment meets DOT and Company requirements. They are also responsible for maintaining proper inventory control of parts and tools. This position is critical to keeping the fleet in safe, reliable, and optimal working condition on a daily basis. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Include the following.

Conduct safety inspections on fleet heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment Diagnose and repair diesel engines and medium•to heavy-duty vehicles, including preventative maintenance and inspections Repair air and hydraulic brake systems, electrical systems, suspensions, drivetrains, and related components Inspect and replace tires as needed Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on fleet equipment Follow detailed inspection checklists and procedures Test vehicles and equipment to diagnose malfunctions and verify repairs Read and interpret diagnostic test results and repair manuals Adjust and align components; repair or replace mechanical and electrical systems, including wiring Perform field repairs as needed, including in adverse weather or environmental conditions Interact with operators to determine service and repair needs Ensure proper documentation is completed, including equipment records and compliance requirements Safely lift and move heavy parts using hoists, hydraulic jacks, or other equipment Maintain technical proficiency across trucks, trailers, and shop systems Utilize manuals, diagnostic tools, and systems to troubleshoot issues and source parts Accurately document work orders in the company's system Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Comply with all company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations Maintain accurate and complete service records Work additional hours as needed based on business demands Maintain regular, predictable attendance and work effectively with team members

Full-time Monday•Friday, 6:00am-3:30pm and 2 Saturdays a month, 6:00am•12:00pm.
Salary Range:
$28•38 an hour
