In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel semi trucks. Your expertise will ensure that all vehicles and equipment operate efficiently, safely, and reliably. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspension components, and air brake systems. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and brake repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and electronic diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues. Fabricate and modify parts using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools as needed for custom repairs or adaptations. Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other farm or industrial machinery safely and efficiently. Repair and maintain various types of heavy equipment including industrial machinery, farm implements, and vehicle-mounted systems. Perform welding, heavy lifting, assembly work, and component replacements to restore equipment functionality. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs performed for accountability and future reference. Experience Proven experience working as a Diesel Service Technician or automotive mechanic with dealership or industrial backgrounds preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, suspension systems, and electrical components. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and schematics reading to accurately identify issues. Familiarity with heavy tractor-trailers Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; capable of using power tools effectively for repairs or modifications. Experience performing brake repair, wheel alignment, tire service, HVAC maintenance, and general vehicle or equipment maintenance. Ability to lift heavy components safely and work in physically demanding environments while maintaining safety standards. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
