Job Description

Job Overview 10 years min, We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our fleet and machinery operating smoothly, supporting our operational goals with precision and efficiency. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics passionate about heavy equipment and automotive repair to showcase their skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems across various heavy machinery and vehicles. Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, alignment, and vehicle inspections to prevent future issues. Utilize schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems accurately. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques. Repair or replace heavy equipment components such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, and other specialized machinery. Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to all safety protocols. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed for compliance and future reference. Requirements Proven experience working as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and automotive diagnostics. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, air compressors and farm machinery. Skilled in welding, soldering, fabrication, and the use of hand tools and power tools for repairs. Ability to lift heavy components safely during maintenance tasks; physical stamina is essential. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients about repair needs.
