  • Full-time Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Ford Diesel/Gas Heavy Line Technician to join our dynamic service team.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining
LIGHT.MEDIUM
diesel engines and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our fleet and client machinery operating smoothly, supporting a wide range of industries including agriculture, construction, and transportation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced diagnostic tools and heavy equipment, delivering top-tier service with energy and precision. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and other heavy equipment components using schematics and electronic testing tools. Repair and overhaul Ford diesel engines, including troubleshooting issues related to air brakes, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and wheel alignments. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, and vehicle inspections to ensure safety standards are met. Fabricate parts or modify equipment using power tools, welding techniques, soldering, and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements. Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers safely while adhering to all safety protocols. Interpret technical schematics and manuals to accurately diagnose mechanical or electrical faults in farm machinery, industrial equipment, or automotive systems. Assist with assembly or disassembly of components during repairs or upgrades while maintaining high quality standards. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the service process. Experience Proven dealership experience as a diesel technician or mechanic specializing in Ford diesel engines is highly preferred. Extensive hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics, heavy equipment operation, welding, fabrication, and electrical troubleshooting. Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, suspension components, and tire service. Familiarity with schematics interpretation for complex machinery repair projects. Experience working with farm machinery, industrial equipment, excavators, cranes or similar heavy-duty vehicles is advantageous. Ability to operate power tools safely while performing maintenance or repair tasks efficiently. Prior experience in customer service roles within a dealership or repair shop environment is a plus.
