Job Description

Diesel Technician / Mechanic We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of 90+ car haulers to ensure safe and reliable operation. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspensions, steering systems, and driveline components. Perform repairs and maintenance on brake systems, including air brakes. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, HVAC, and hydraulic systems. Inspect, service, and replace shocks, struts, suspension components, and related equipment. Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues. Perform welding, fabrication, and other repair work as needed. Safely operate shop equipment and perform heavy lifting using proper tools and procedures. Complete preventive maintenance inspections and repairs. Maintain accurate service records and work orders. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety standards. Qualifications Previous experience as a Diesel Technician, Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, or Fleet Maintenance Technician. Strong knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics and repair. Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, and air brake systems. Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding, fabrication, and soldering. Experience with brake repair, transmission service, suspension repair, and preventive maintenance. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Preferred Qualifications Experience working on heavy trucks, trailers, or fleet equipment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift heavy components and perform physically demanding work. Ability to work in a shop environment and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work under vehicles for extended periods. Pay is dependent on applicable experience. Pay:
$26.00 - $36.00 per hour
