Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Mechanic/Shop Manager to oversee daily shop operations and ensure the highest standards of vehicle and equipment maintenance. This role is vital in maintaining the efficiency, safety, and reliability of a diverse fleet and heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. As a key leader in our workshop, you will drive operational excellence while fostering a positive team environment. Duties Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the shop, ensuring timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and automotive systems including transmissions, hydraulics, suspension, HVAC, and diesel engines Manage inventory levels for parts, tools, and supplies; order replacements as needed to minimize downtime Conduct quality control inspections on completed repairs to ensure safety standards and manufacturer specifications are met Oversee shop safety protocols, enforce proper use of hand tools, power tools, and heavy lifting procedures Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and offering technical guidance to clients or internal teams Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in heavy equipment operation, automotive diagnostics, and vehicle maintenance Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex mechanical issues Hands-on experience with welding, soldering, fabrication, and assembly of various machinery components Knowledge of electrical systems including automotive electrical diagnostics and service technician practices Ability to operate power tools safely while performing repairs involving shocks & struts, brakes, alignments, air brakes, tires service, HVAC systems, and suspension components Strong leadership skills with prior experience managing a team of technicians or service staff in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills coupled with customer service aptitude to explain technical issues clearly Join us as our Lead Mechanic/Shop Manager to lead our maintenance team toward operational excellence!
