Job Description

Hiring Diesel Mechanics - Denver, CO The Diesel Mechanic - Heavy Equipment is responsible for performing inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of construction machinery. You'll work both in the field (80%) using a company‑provided service truck and in the shop as needed. This role requires strong mechanical expertise, independence, and the ability to document all work with accuracy and professionalism.

Schedule:
Monday-Saturday, 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Overtime available, often exceeding 60 hours per week Start each day at the Lipan plant, serving a 50‑mile radius in Colorado Approximately 80% field work using a company‑provided service truck Fast‑paced, hands‑on environment supporting active construction operations
Job Description:
Perform Daily Inspections — Conduct routine checks and preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment. Diagnose & Repair Equipment — Troubleshoot and repair loaders, pavers, milling machines, rollers, scrapers, excavators, compaction equipment, asphalt paving equipment, and
CAT 6090
units. Field & Shop Service — Travel to job sites within a 50‑mile radius using a company truck; complete shop repairs when required. Document All Work — Record repairs, parts used, and maintenance performed to ensure accuracy and accountability.
Skills:
Diesel Mechanic Proficiency with hands‑on experience in heavy equipment repair CAT Equipment Knowledge including emissions systems 2+ years of heavy equipment mechanic experience Valid driver's license and clean
MVR Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Construction Equipment across multiple categories Ability to work independently in the field and adapt to changing job site conditions Strong problem‑solving skills and mechanical troubleshooting ability
