This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of machinery, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers. You will leverage your mechanical expertise to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and electrical components on various heavy equipment and vehicles Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid checks to keep equipment in optimal condition Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues accurately Fabricate parts or modify equipment using hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs Conduct heavy lifting and assist in the assembly or disassembly of machinery components during repairs or upgrades Test repaired equipment to ensure proper functioning before returning it to service; document all repairs thoroughly Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with workmanship Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive diagnostics and heavy equipment repair Dealership experience is highly preferred; familiarity with Caterpillar machinery is a plus Proficiency in reading schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting complex systems Hands-on experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm equipment Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including air brake systems, transmissions, hydraulics, alignment techniques, shocks & struts replacement Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently; physically fit for demanding tasks Strong mechanical knowledge combined with electrical experience related to service technician roles Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to work independently or as part of a team Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards in all repair activities Join us today to advance your career as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic where your expertise makes a difference!
