Job Description

About Us:
Crystal Landscape Supplies is a provider of landscape materials on location and via delivery. We take pride in maintaining a reliable fleet and high-quality equipment to serve our customers efficiently. We are currently seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to join our team.
Position Overview:
This role requires a skilled mechanic capable of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of equipment. You will work on dump trucks, semi-trucks, medium and light-duty trucks, skid steers, front-end loaders, and small engines. This is a hands-on position critical to keeping our operations running smoothly.
Job Duties:
1. Perform repairs and maintenance on all vehicles and equipment in accordance with the Department of Transportation and company policies, standards, and codes. 2. Follow our company's safety rules: utilize protective clothing and equipment, report safety hazards and incidents to supervisor. 3. Maintain accurate service records. 4. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues. 5. Ensure all vehicles and machinery are safe, reliable and operating efficiently. 6. Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards 7. Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to:
  • Pre-tripping and assisting in loading of trucks going out for delivery
  • Grease and Maintain various types of equipment
  • Tarp/CB Radio/Bed Liner Installs 8.
Repair hydraulic systems as needed. 9. Repair and replace brakes, lights, and all preventive maintenance needed for our semi fleet of trucks & end dumps. 10. Use of Diesel Diagnostic Software and correcting corresponding issues. 11. Effectively handle a high paced work environment. 12. Ability to learn on the job. 13. Willingness to be a TEAM player. 14. Maintain organization and cleanliness in the workshop.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Proven experience as a heavy duty diesel mechanic. Ability to work on a wide range of equipment (trucks, heavy machinery, small motors). Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills. Quality professional references. Must be dependable and able to work Saturdays.
Compensation and Schedule:
Starting pay $35+/hour , depending on experience. Performance-based bonuses (at least once per year) All tools provided - no personal tools required In-Season (April—November): 45-65 hours per week Off-Season (December—March): Full-time Saturday availability is required Applying in person moves you to the top of the interview list but resumes are also accepted via Indeed.
