The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to work on various types of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure that all vehicles are operating safely and efficiently. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines and related systems to identify issues. Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, and filter replacements. Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for repairs and adjustments. Align components to ensure proper operation of machinery. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed. Collaborate with other mechanics and service technicians to troubleshoot complex problems. Lift heavy components safely as required during repairs. Qualifications Proven experience as a mechanic or service technician, specifically with diesel engines. Familiarity with farm machinery, semi trucks/trailers and heavy lifting procedures. Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to automotive repair. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
