Job Description

We are hiring a Light Duty Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of 1/2-ton to 1-ton trucks with gas and diesel engines. Duties include oil changes, filters, fluids, cooling systems, tire rotations, engine/transmission R&R, steering components, ball joints, wheel bearings, and other mechanical repairs. Pay is $32-$40/hour based on experience, with benefits including 401(k), health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, and more. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs on 1/2-ton to 1-ton fleet trucks, including gas and diesel engines.
Routine maintenance duties include:
Oil changes Filter replacements Fluid checks and services Cooling system maintenance Tire rotations General inspections and preventative maintenance Repair duties include: Engine removal and replacement Transmission removal and replacement Steering component repairs Ball joint replacement Wheel bearing replacement Brake, suspension, and drivetrain repairs Diagnosing mechanical issues and completing repairs in a timely manner Additional responsibilities include: Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow all safety procedures and company policies Document maintenance and repair work as required Communicate repair needs, parts requirements, and vehicle status to management Help ensure fleet vehicles remain safe, reliable, and ready for operation Qualifications Experience as a light duty mechanic, automotive mechanic, diesel mechanic, or fleet mechanic preferred Experience working on 1/2-ton to 1-ton trucks preferred Knowledge of gas and diesel engines Ability to perform both preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs Must have own basic hand tools Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues Strong work ethic and attention to detail Valid driver's license preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Please contact Steve Sholin for more information.
