In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and air brake systems using OEM schematics and automotive diagnostics tools. Repair and overhaul heavy equipment such as forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery. Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignment adjustments, and power tool usage. Fabricate parts and components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure proper fit and function. Troubleshoot electrical systems within heavy equipment and vehicles to identify issues related to wiring or electronic controls. Maintain accurate service records, complete detailed reports on repairs performed, and follow safety protocols at all times. Assist with heavy lifting tasks and operate heavy equipment safely during repair or installation processes. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair in dealership or industrial settings. Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or similar OEM brands is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, soldering, and assembly of mechanical parts. Knowledge of automotive repair procedures including HVAC systems, power transmission components, hydraulics, and suspension systems. Ability to read schematics accurately and utilize diagnostic software effectively. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in physically demanding environments.

From $20.00 per hour
