Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles! This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll utilize your mechanical expertise to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and execute preventative maintenance that keeps operations running smoothly. We're looking for energetic professionals who thrive on problem-solving and take pride in delivering top-notch service. Duties Conduct thorough diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brake systems, suspension components, and electrical systems using OEM schematics and automotive diagnostics tools. Perform repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and other industrial machinery. Fabricate parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific operational needs. Replace or repair brake systems, alignments, hydraulics, HVAC components, tires, and perform wheel balancing to ensure safety and efficiency. Assemble new equipment or parts following technical specifications and schematics; troubleshoot electrical wiring and system failures. Conduct routine inspections to identify wear or damage; perform preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan. Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment repair; dealership experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of OEM parts catalogs, schematics interpretation, and automotive diagnostics tools. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with power tools is essential. Experience working with farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, HVAC systems, and automotive repair is advantageous. Ability to perform complex repairs involving transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components. Skilled in heavy lifting operations safely using appropriate equipment; familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members.
