- 45/hr based on experience and certifications Weekly productivity and performance bonuses Monday-Friday schedule No weekends Paid Cummins and manufacturer training Weekly pay Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with employer match Clean, organized, well-equipped facility Family-oriented culture with long-term stability Modern diagnostic equipment and software Key Responsibilities Diagnose, maintain, and repair heavy-duty trucks, medium-duty trucks, RVs, and fleet vehicles Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, and emissions systems Perform transmission repairs, including Allison transmission systems Complete DOT inspections and preventative maintenance services Perform truck and motorhome alignments using Hunter alignment equipment Utilize OEM software, advanced scan tools, and diagnostic platforms Reflash modules and perform programming updates when required Document repairs accurately and maintain high-quality workmanship standards Collaborate with teammates to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction Participate in ongoing Cummins and alternative fuel technology training Qualifications 4+ years of professional diesel mechanic experience Strong diesel diagnostics and troubleshooting skills Experience with electrical, fuel, hydraulic, and emissions systems Ability to independently diagnose and repair complex vehicle concerns Experience working on heavy-duty and medium-duty trucks Valid driver's license required Preferred Qualifications Cummins certifications or equivalent diesel training Experience with Peterbilt, International, Mack, Caterpillar, and Detroit platforms Experience using OEM diagnostic software and advanced scan tools Module programming and computer reflashing experience Class B CDL or willingness to obtain one Compensation & Benefits $38•45/hr based on experience and certifications Weekly productivity and performance bonus opportunities Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) with up to 3% employer match Paid holidays Paid time off 6 paid sick/personal days annually Unused sick days reimbursed annually Employer-paid $10,000 life insurance policy Additional voluntary life insurance options Weekly pay Uniform service provided Paid Cummins training Paid alternative fuel technology training Use of shop facilities for personal vehicle projects (per company guidelines) About the Shop This established diesel and fleet repair operation has been serving Connecticut businesses and vehicle owners for more than three decades.
