Diesel Mechanic

J.B. Hunt is hiring experienced diesel mechanics to join our talented maintenance team in Windsor Locks, Connecticut! This position is essential to keeping our trucks operational and on the road. This role is paid at an hourly rate and will range between $29.18 and $43.77 per hour (based on experience).

Key Responsibilities:

Demonstrate proficient skills in preventative maintenance and tractor repairs on diesel engines, batteries, transmission, fuel systems, electrical systems and air brakes (FHWA inspections) Diagnose and troubleshoot heavy-duty truck and tractor issues to OEM and J.B. Hunt company standards Complete work orders within SRT and warranty guidelines Follow all shop safety procedures and maintain professional communication Participate in OEM training and assist with technician onboarding

Minimum Qualifications:

Candidates must be at least 18 years old At least 1-2 year of hands-on mechanic experience servicing semi-trucks or military equivalent AC Certification Certification and one year experience in DOT and FHWA inspections and air brake systems Able to supply your own basic tools or purchase through J.B.
