Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot various mechanical issues. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our fleet, contributing to efficient operations. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including brake repair, tire service, and shocks struts replacement. Utilize power tools and diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical problems and execute effective solutions. Conduct inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used. Operate forklifts and cranes as necessary during repair processes. Collaborate with other service technicians to enhance workflow efficiency and maintain high-quality service standards. Assist in training junior mechanics or apprentices as needed. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role is preferred. Proficiency in using various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Familiarity with diesel engine systems, components, and repair techniques. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in maintaining equipment functionality.
