In this energetic role, you will diagnose, service, and repair a wide range of industrial, agricultural, and heavy machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and other heavy equipment components using schematics and automotive diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on farm machinery, industrial equipment, excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other heavy-duty vehicles. Fabricate parts or modify existing components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to meet specific repair needs. Replace or repair shocks & struts, brake systems, alignment components, HVAC systems, tires, and wheel assemblies to ensure safety and efficiency. Utilize heavy equipment operation skills to lift and maneuver large parts or machinery safely during repairs or assembly tasks. Interpret technical schematics and service manuals to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs efficiently. Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle or piece of equipment serviced; ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Qualifications Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic experience working with heavy equipment or automotive repair. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC units, and suspension components. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with schematics is essential. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools for automotive diagnostics; ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, power lifts such as forklifts or cranes for heavy lifting tasks. Experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators or industrial equipment is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs and maintenance tasks.
