Mobile Fleet Diesel and Trailer Technician

$1,500 Sign-On Bonus Qualified candidates will receive a $1,500 sign-on bonus after 180 days of employment. Position Overview Mike's Mobile Wrenches Fleet Services is seeking an experienced Senior Diesel Mechanic to join our growing team. We are looking for a highly skilled technician who is committed to safety, quality workmanship, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and overhauling medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, buses, and diesel-powered equipment. This position requires strong diagnostic abilities and the willingness to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Perform preventive maintenance and inspections. Repair diesel engines, electrical systems, air brake systems, suspension systems, and driveline components. Utilize diagnostic software and equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues. Create repair estimates using Mitchell1 software. Accurately document repairs, inspections, and labor using a tablet or computer. Maintain a safe and organized work environment. Provide professional and courteous service to customers. Computer and Diagnostic Skills Candidates must be able to: Use a tablet or computer to enter repair tickets and service documentation. Operate manufacturer and aftermarket diagnostic software for medium-duty and heavy-duty diesel engines. Learn and utilize Mitchell1 software to prepare repair estimates and document repairs. Qualifications All applicants are subject to: Drug screening Background check Employment verification Motor vehicle driving record review Required Experience Minimum of 5 years of diesel mechanic experience. Experience working on medium-duty and heavy-duty trucks. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
