Lead Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Maintenance Manager $40-$60 Per Hour + Up to $5,000 Hiring and Retention Bonus Pipe Renewal, LLC, Ft Lauderdale, Florida Full-Time | Hourly Position Pipe Renewal, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Lead Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Maintenance Manager to take ownership of the maintenance, diagnosis, troubleshooting, and repair of our specialized sewer rehabilitation fleet and support equipment operating throughout Florida. This is not a basic mechanic position. We are looking for a dependable, hands-on professional with strong diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and diagnostic experience who can independently solve problems, prioritize repairs, reduce equipment downtime, and help keep our field operations moving. The right candidate will be experienced, organized, responsive, and capable of maintaining a diverse fleet of specialized trucks, trailers, robotic cutting equipment, CCTV equipment, generators, compressors, hydraulic pumps, and related support equipment. Compensation $40.00-$60.00 per hour , based on verified experience, technical ability, and qualifications Overtime available as needed Up to $5,000 Hiring and Retention Bonus for a qualified candidate $2,500 payable after successful completion of 6 months of employment Remaining $2,500 payable after successful completion of 1 year of employment Employee must remain actively employed and in good standing on each payment date Bonus eligibility will be confirmed at the time of hire based on experience and qualifications Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Holiday pay Key Responsibilities Take ownership of fleet and equipment readiness for daily field operations Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain company vehicles and specialized equipment Identify mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic problems and complete repairs efficiently Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, gas engines, generators, air compressors, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and electronic controls Perform repairs and maintenance on: Vactor trucks Trailers CCTV inspection trucks and equipment Robotic cutting trucks and equipment Specialized sewer rehabilitation and support equipment Perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed Prioritize repairs to minimize equipment downtime and keep crews productive Identify parts and materials needed for repairs and assist with timely procurement Maintain documentation of repairs, preventive maintenance, service needs, and unresolved equipment issues Coordinate outside repairs when needed Travel throughout Florida as needed to support field operations Work safely, efficiently, and independently with minimal supervision Required Qualifications Extensive experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel trucks or specialized fleet equipment Strong knowledge of diesel and gas engines Strong experience with hydraulic systems and hydraulic pump diagnostics and repair Strong electrical and electronic troubleshooting abilities Ability to diagnose and repair a wide variety of equipment and systems Experience performing preventive maintenance and urgent repairs on operational fleet vehicles Must have your own tools Clean, valid driver's license Ability to travel throughout Florida as needed Dependable, organized, and able to work overtime when required Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and take ownership of fleet readiness Preferred Qualifications Experience with Vactor trucks, vacuum trucks, sewer-cleaning trucks, jetter equipment, CCTV inspection equipment, or robotic cutting equipment Experience managing preventive maintenance and repair scheduling for a fleet Experience with hydraulics, PTO systems, pumps, and specialty truck equipment CDL Class A Welding experience Experience in municipal fleet, utility, heavy construction, industrial equipment, trenchless rehabilitation, or sewer rehabilitation operations About Pipe Renewal, LLC Pipe Renewal, LLC performs specialized trenchless sewer rehabilitation work throughout Florida.
