In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel box trucks to ensure optimal performance, safety, and compliance. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency. This includes road side assistance to any of our trucks that may break down during their scheduled route during the day. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on heavy-duty diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, suspension, HVAC systems, and electrical components using automotive diagnostic tools. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and shocks & struts replacements to uphold vehicle safety standards. Repair and overhaul diesel engines, transmissions, brake systems, and other vital components with precision and attention to detail. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and assembly skills to complete repairs efficiently. Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues related to automotive electrical systems, HVAC units, suspension systems, and auto body repairs; perform necessary repairs or recommend replacements. Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all repairs performed; communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle status and recommended services. Ensure compliance with safety protocols during all maintenance activities; assist in equipment repair and preventive maintenance tasks as needed. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, suspension components, HVAC systems, and tire services. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics using modern electronic testing equipment; ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and other automotive repair tools. Excellent understanding of automotive electrical systems and auto body repair processes.
Pay:
$30.00 per hour
