Diesel Mechanic/Technician - Join Our Team at Recycling Services of Florida! Are you a skilled Diesel Mechanic looking to work with a company that values your expertise and provides room to grow? Recycling Services of Florida is expanding our team and looking for a motivated and experienced Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join our service department. What You'll Do:
Repair, and maintain diesel trucks and equipment Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections Pick up parts from local vendors and transport tools as needed Assist with welding and fabrication tasks Test drive vehicles to ensure repairs are complete and reliable Keep work areas clean and organized, following safety protocols Contribute to the improvement of service processes and documentation
What We're Looking For:
Experience:
Prior experience as a diesel mechanic/technician required
License:
Valid driver's license (CDL A preferred)
Tools:
Must have your own tools
Skills:
Strong mechanical aptitude, ability to lift 50+ lbs, welding/fabrication a plus
Attitude:
Team player, reliable, detail-oriented, safety-first mindset
Environment:
Able to work in a non-climate-controlled setting with weekend/overtime availability
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Prior hands-on experience with heavy-duty trucks and diesel equipment Forklift experience preferred Willingness to learn and share knowledge
