Job Description

Job Description We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a mechanical background and be adept at diagnosing and repairing various types of heavy machinery & diesel engines. This role is crucial for ensuring that our equipment operates efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall productivity of our operations Key Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including tractors, forklifts, cranes, and other machinery. Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques. Conduct tire services, replacements and patch up. Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and minimize downtime. Operate heavy equipment as needed for testing purposes or during repairs. Maintains a safe work area in compliance with OSHA Standards and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Must be able to complete daily timesheet paperwork Qualifications Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and vehicle maintenance. Hydraulics systems, cylinders repacking and troubleshooting knowledge. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including tractor-trailers and cranes. Basic 12v/24v electrical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot electrical issues. Diesel & Gas engines troubleshooting and repair knowledge. 5+ years' experience in the heavy-duty mechanical field. Understand information from operating, maintenance, and service manuals, as well as utilizing computer diagnostics. Perform replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
