Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail oriented Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered farm equipment and trucks. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity of our fleet, including trucks, construction machinery, farm equipment, and industrial tools. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines and related systems using schematics, diagnostic tools, and hand tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as skid steers, forklifts, and tractors. Repair and replace transmissions, brakes (including air brake systems), shocks & struts, suspension components, and hydraulics. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. Utilize power tools and welding equipment to assemble, repair, or modify machinery components. Conduct routine inspections to identify wear and tear; perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Assist with tire service, wheel alignments, electrical troubleshooting (including soldering), and some heavy lifting tasks. Maintain detailed service records. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues quickly and ensure customer satisfaction through quality repairs. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Experience Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment and farm operations. Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, and suspension systems. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, diagnostic software, and service manuals effectively. Ability to read schematics accurately for troubleshooting electrical or mechanical issues. Experience repairing diesel and gasoline engines, hydraulic systems and farm machinery. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with strong problem-solving skills to diagnose issues efficiently. 5 years in diesel maintenance and repair.
