Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment. Your expertise will ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of industrial machinery, farm equipment, construction vehicles, and transportation fleet. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery, utilize advanced diagnostic tools, and contribute to the seamless operation of our fleet and equipment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, air brakes, and electrical systems using OEM schematics and automotive diagnostics tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery to ensure optimal performance. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques. Service and repair vehicle systems such as brakes, alignments, HVAC systems, tires, and powertrain components. Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Interpret technical schematics and manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding repair status or technical concerns. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment repair. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with OEM parts and service standards. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering. Knowledge of excavator, crane, forklift, tractor-trailer systems, and farm machinery is advantageous. Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics software and schematics for troubleshooting electrical issues. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely during maintenance tasks. Familiarity with tire service, brake repair, suspension adjustments, hydraulic systems, and HVAC systems in industrial or agricultural settings.
