Position Overview We are seeking a Mobile Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to provide field-based maintenance, diagnostics, and repair support for heavy equipment and fleet vehicles used in field operations. This is a fully mobile role requiring travel to job sites across Florida, including Ft. Myers, Orlando, Tampa, and Lakeland. Relocation is available for qualified candidates. What You'll Do Provide day-to-day repairs, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics on heavy construction vehicles and equipment at the branches and at project sites as needed. Utilize a company-provided service truck for mobile service throughout the area. Service equipment used in trenchless construction, pipeline rehabilitation, and other specialty civil projects. Maintain accurate service records and document repairs and parts usage. Ensure all work complies with safety and DOT compliance standards, company policies, and construction site requirements. Communicate repair status, safety concerns, and recommendations to supervisors and project managers. Work on a variety of equipment, with emphasis on Vactor trucks, CCTV trucks, light duty trucks, generators, and light-duty trailers. Utilize strong diagnostics and electrical skills for complex troubleshooting and repairs. Other duties as required. Required Qualifications 5+ years of diesel mechanic experience with heavy construction vehicles/equipment. Strong diagnostics and electrical skills. General knowledge of light duty trucks. Must possess own tools. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems independently. Knowledge of safety and DOT compliance requirements for construction sites. Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Florida Other duties as required Preferred Qualifications Experience with mobile diesel repair. OSHA 10 or 30 certification Familiarity with fleet maintenance software. Work Schedule Monday - Friday, with Saturdays as needed.
