Position Summary:

As a Diesel Technician C, you'll perform preventative maintenance and assist in repairs on heavy-duty and light-duty trucks, including gasoline, diesel, and CNG systems. This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety—no two days are the same.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist drivers with daily pre- and post-trip inspections. Conduct safety checks and preventative maintenance during Safety Lane and PMs. Lubricate vehicles and complete routine maintenance tasks. Support basic repairs on heavy-duty equipment, including Rear Load, Front Load, Roll-Off, Grapple, Port-a-Let, and other service trucks. Communicate vehicle issues to A & B technicians and drivers, and discuss preventative measures. Complete all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and on time. Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with OSHA and corporate standards. Follow factory service manuals for repairs and maintain high standards of ethics and dependability.

Qualifications:

Ability to assist with pre/post-trip inspections and identify visible vehicle issues. Ability to perform fluid top-ups (oil, hydraulic, transmission, DEF, etc.). Knowledge of tire inspections and air pressure adjustments. Ability to support repairs for lights, wipers, mirrors, and lubrication tasks. Ability to assist in basic engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, and body repairs. Familiarity with all tools required for vehicle maintenance. Basic computer skills for repair documentation and parts tracking.
