The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, with experience in working on diesel engines and various types of industrial equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues, ensuring that all vehicles and machinery are operating efficiently and safely. Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to brake repair, tire service, and suspension work.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems using appropriate tools and techniques to ensure accurate assessments.
  • Align and assemble components of vehicles and machinery to meet operational standards.
  • Conduct inspections on farm machinery and industrial equipment to identify potential issues before they become serious problems.
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, services performed, and parts used for each vehicle or piece of equipment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and repairs.
  • Operate forklifts as needed for moving heavy equipment or parts within the workshop. Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role in vehicle maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, components, and repair techniques.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment and farm machinery is preferred.
  • Ability to perform tire service, brake repair, alignments, and other mechanical tasks effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to diesel mechanics are a plus.
  • Must be available on weekends.
