In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered equipment and vehicles, with a focus on air conditioning systems. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of heavy machinery, industrial equipment, and fleet vehicles. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of heavy-duty machinery, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm equipment, while providing top-tier service to our clients. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about mechanical repair and troubleshooting. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, air conditioning systems, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension components, and electrical systems on heavy equipment and vehicles. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire services, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, and wheel alignments. Fabricate parts or components as needed using hand tools and power tools to ensure proper fit and function. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic codes to accurately identify issues. Conduct inspections of industrial equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to troubleshoot electrical systems and engine performance problems. Perform welding, soldering, heavy lifting, and assembly tasks required for equipment repair or fabrication projects. Maintain detailed service records of repairs performed and parts used; communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding repair status. Skills Proven dealership experience or extensive mechanic background working with heavy machinery and automotive repair. Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques along with experience working on excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals related to hydraulics, HVAC systems in vehicles/equipment, transmissions, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical wiring. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators or cranes is highly desirable. Skilled in the use of hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers), power tools (drills, grinders), welding equipment (MIG/TIG welders), soldering irons, and other maintenance tools. Mechanical knowledge of diesel engine repair combined with automotive diagnostics expertise. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or installations. Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients regarding repairs or maintenance needs.
