In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our fleet and equipment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse machinery and showcase your mechanical prowess in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair diesel-engines of service and pickup trucks, trailers, and large equipment (i.e. skid steer, excavator, forklift)
  • Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, and small construction equipment (i.e. compaction equipment, saws, etc.)
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and complete repairs in a timely manner
  • Maintain service records and equipment maintenance logs
  • Ensure all equipment meets safety and operational standards
  • Order parts and maintain inventory of tools and supplies as needed
  • Respond to breakdowns in the field when necessary
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
  • Responsible for keeping shop and yard organized and secured
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic (construction or fleet experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Ability to read diagnostic tools and service manuals
  • Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required)
  • Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
  • Ability to lift 50+lbs
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility- must be willing to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands. Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical or vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred
  • ASE certification or similar credentials are a plus
