Job Description

We are a fast‑growing, family‑owned diesel repair and towing company with locations in Fitzgerald and Ashburn Georgia. We are looking for a reliable, motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, heavy‑duty trucks, and equipment Occasional travel between our two locations Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues Repair or replace faulty parts, components, and systems Conduct DOT‑level inspections and preventative maintenance Perform brake, suspension, steering, and drivetrain repairs Complete accurate repair orders, service notes, and other required documentation Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Assist with general shop duties, equipment upkeep, and yard organization Respond to occasional roadside service calls Be willing to learn and train on operating company rollbacks — no prior towing experience required; we will train Qualifications Experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Heavy‑Duty Technician, or similar role Strong understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, and diagnostics Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals Proficient with diagnostic tools, scan tools, and shop equipment Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Valid driver's license (CDL is a plus but not required) Dependable, self‑motivated, and able to work independently when needed Able to work as part of a team as well as work independently Preferred Skills (Not Required) Brake repair Forklift operation Dealership or service technician background Customer service experience HVAC/climate control system knowledge Fabrication or light welding Hydraulic system knowledge What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Opportunities for overtime Training provided for rollback operation and towing procedures Supportive, family‑oriented work environment Long‑term growth opportunities as our company expands
