Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel trucks. Your expertise will ensure that all trucks operates safely and efficiently, supporting our operations across various industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your mechanical skills, and contribute to a team dedicated to excellence in trucking maintenance and repair. Responsibilities o Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components using schematics and diagnostic tools. o Conduct repairs and maintenance on truck fleet. o Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific operational requirements. o Troubleshoot and repair vehicle systems including HVAC units, shocks & struts, tires, brakes, alignments, and powertrain components. o Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed; adhere to safety protocols during all maintenance activities. o Assist in the assembly and disassembly of truck for repairs or upgrades; perform heavy lifting safely when handling large components. o Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and offering recommendations for ongoing maintenance. • Requirements o Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics, Hydraulics & DC Electrical Systems. o Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals; familiarity with electrical systems and soldering techniques o use of power tools, smaw and ovy/acet welding experience, hydraulics and suspension systems is advantageous. o Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; capable of performing tire service and brake repairs efficiently. o Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. o Physical ability to perform heavy lifting regularly; comfortable working in various environmental conditions while maintaining safety standards. o Must possess basic mechanical tools to perform job duties o Forklift certification preferred or able to obtain certification in 6 months after hire o
Valid Driver's License Pay:
$30.00 - $37.00 per hour
