Diesel Technician Full-Time | Competitive Pay | Benefits Join the Team That Keeps Des Moines Moving in a CLEAN and modern shop! Our client is looking for an experienced, dependable Diesel Technician to maintain and repair their fleet of commercial diesel vehicles. If you take pride in quality work, enjoy solving mechanical problems, and want to be part of a professional transportation company, we'd like to hear from you. Responsibilities Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines and related systems. Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled inspections. Repair brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, HVAC, and air systems. Complete DOT inspections and ensure vehicles meet safety standards. Maintain accurate service and repair records. Work closely with operations to minimize vehicle downtime. Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe. Qualifications Previous diesel mechanic or diesel technician experience preferred. Experience with buses, motor coaches, heavy-duty trucks, or commercial vehicles is a plus. Ability to diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues. Own basic mechanic tools (preferred). Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus or willingness to obtain one. Strong work ethic with attention to detail. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a shop environment.
