DIESEL MECHANIC / DIESEL MECHANIC TRAINEE
Multiple Positions Available - Placement Based on
Experience and Skill Level Location:
Dyersville, IA Area Pay:
$15.00-$40.00 per hour Position Summary Join a collaborative, team-oriented environment dedicated to providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for a fleet of heavy equipment, trucks, and machinery. Opportunities are available for both experienced Diesel Mechanics and individuals seeking to grow their skills as a Diesel Mechanic Trainee. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance, oil changes, and routine service on equipment, vehicles, ready-mix trucks, semi-trucks, and gantry cranes. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical issues. Complete monthly inspections on company equipment. Document maintenance requests, inspections, and repairs using a mobile maintenance application. Create purchase orders for maintenance inventory and replacement parts as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Follow OSHA safety regulations and company safety procedures at all times. Assist with additional maintenance and repair projects as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Two years of diesel mechanic training or equivalent experience preferred for Mechanic positions. Strong understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize work and adapt to changing assignments. Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Must provide a basic set of personal mechanic tools (specialty tools provided by employer). CDL preferred but not required. Benefits Competitive pay based on experience and skill level.
