Job Description

Overview A Semi Diesel Mechanic is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered semi-trucks and related heavy-duty equipment. This role ensures fleet safety, reliability, and compliance with DOT and company standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience with diesel engines, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience and familiarity with heavy equipment operation are highly valued. Duties Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, and alignment adjustments. Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools and welding equipment. Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards. Assist in assembly or disassembly of equipment during repairs or upgrades. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and professionally. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with heavy equipment, automotive diagnostics, or industrial machinery repair. Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems such as transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC, suspension, and air brakes. Proficiency with schematics, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnostics and repairs. Good communication skills for effective customer interactions and teamwork. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. This role is vital to maintaining the safety and efficiency of our fleet and equipment operations while providing opportunities for ongoing professional development within the industry standards for diesel mechanic services.
