Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Transportation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, ensuring that our fleet operates efficiently and safely. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, where your expertise will contribute to the reliability of our transportation services. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshoot issues on diesel engines and related systems. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems. Inspect vehicles for safety and compliance with regulations and standards. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts inventory. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in diesel technology. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Communicate effectively with management and other staff regarding vehicle status and repair needs. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in diesel mechanics preferred. Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, fuel systems, and electronic control systems. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Valid driver's license; CDL preferred. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
