Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to support the maintenance and repair of our farm equipment and fleet operations. This role is essential to keeping daily operations running smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with experience working on diesel engines, semi trucks, and agricultural equipment. This position requires someone who is dependable, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Pay will be based on experience, with opportunities for growth as responsibilities expand. Duties Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines across a variety of equipment, including semi trucks, pickups, and farm machinery Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake work, tire rotations, and fluid checks Inspect and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems Conduct pre-season and post-season equipment checks to ensure operational readiness Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimize downtime in the field or on delivery routes Maintain accurate service records, logs, and maintenance schedules Ensure all equipment meets safety and compliance standards Collaborate with drivers, farm managers, and operations staff to prioritize repairs and maintenance Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and preventative maintenance planning Qualifications & Experience Proven experience as a diesel mechanic or in a similar role Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, semi trucks, and agricultural equipment Experience with hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostics tools preferred CDL is a plus, but not required Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment is a plus Strong understanding of safety protocols and mechanical best practices Skills & Attributes Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues independently Self-starter with a "go-getter" mentality Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to jump in where needed Highly organized with attention to detail Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment Strong communication skills with both team members and leadership Work Environment & Expectations Work will be performed both in a shop setting and outdoors in varying weather conditions May require occasional early mornings, extended hours, or weekend work during peak seasons Ability to lift heavy materials and work on your feet for extended periods Compensation Competitive hourly pay based on experience Opportunities for advancement and increased responsibility over time
Pay:
$20.00 - $27.00 per hour
