Semi Truck / Heavy Equipment Mechanic. Responsible for day-to-day equipment maintenance on fleet equipment consisting of preventative maintenance and minor to major repairs on tractor/trailers, heavy equipment and forklifts. Diesel engine experience is required. Requirements /
Qualifications:
Maintenance/repair activities include brake-systems, electrical systems, cooling systems, cab systems, engines, transmissions, air-conditioning systems and other components of vehicles Change oil and other fluids, grease, inspect and perform other maintenance/repairs to ensure efficient operation of fleet vehicles Responsible for road testing vehicles and performing diagnostic tests Responsible for maintaining "work orders" and other logs in order to track vehicle history Responsible for servicing and repairing trailers. Incumbent performs assorted repairs to include repairing air-brakes, air-system, electrical work and assorted body work Ability to use hand tools, air tools, and specialty tools such as battery tester, antifreeze tester, engine diagnostic equipment. Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot systems. Ability to operate a semi-tractor. Possess a valid driver license or commercial driver license and have a good driving record a plus.
