! Sam Leman Ford in Bloomington Illinois is seeking all levels of experienced Diesel Technicians. Your experience means more opportunity and one of the best family health plans in the business. We are looking for technicians with the ability to diagnose, repair and a true understanding of why we do multi-point inspections on vehicles.

Responsibilities:
Perform thorough multi-point inspections Perform work specified on maintenance and repair orders with efficiency in accordance with dealership and Mopar standards Diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, braking, air conditioning, etc. to specification Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay abreast with rapidly changing technology Inspect and test new vehicles and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
Job Requirements:
We have determined some factors that may enable your success as an Diesel Technician, but as already noted, we welcome anyone interested in a mentor program: Minimum of three years of experience as a technician, unless applying for Mentor Program. (Ford Motors preferred not required) Experience with automatic transmission and diesel is a plus Hold a minimum of three Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certifications Maintain current factory training Hold a valid driver's license Ability to lift 50 lbs Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment
