Diesel Mechanic

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles are in optimal working condition to maintain safety and efficiency. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including troubleshooting mechanical issues. Perform routine maintenance on diesel vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Utilize power tools and hand tools to complete repairs and maintenance tasks. Align and fabricate components as necessary to ensure proper functionality. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to understand vehicle systems. Work with hydraulics systems, including repair and maintenance of hydraulic components. Conduct inspections of air brake systems to ensure they meet regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used. Qualifications Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose complex issues. Familiarity with power tools and diagnostic equipment used in vehicle repair. Experience working with hydraulics and understanding of hydraulic systems. Ability to read and interpret schematics related to diesel engines and vehicle systems. Knowledge of air brake systems is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
