  • Full-time Overview Join our dynamic team as a Fleet Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing our diverse fleet of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.
In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing diesel engines, heavy machinery, and industrial equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly, supporting our commitment to efficiency and reliability across all service areas. This position offers the opportunity to work with a wide range of machinery, from trucks to farm equipment, in a fast-paced and rewarding environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, suspension systems, air brakes, and electrical components using schematics and automotive diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment including semi tractors and trailers to ensure they operate at peak performance. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific operational requirements. Service and repair vehicle systems such as shocks & struts, HVAC units, tire service, wheel alignments, and brake systems to maintain safety standards. Assist in assembly and disassembly of industrial equipment or vehicle components during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostics conducted for compliance and future reference. Support customer service initiatives by providing timely repairs that minimize downtime and enhance client satisfaction. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair, automotive diagnostics, and heavy equipment maintenance. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, and assembly of mechanical parts. Proficient in reading schematics and technical manuals related to hydraulic systems, transmissions, air brakes, HVAC systems, and electrical wiring. Hands-on experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers or similar industrial equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working with power tools or performing tire service and shocks & struts replacements. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; detail-oriented with a focus on safety standards. Valid certifications related to vehicle maintenance or heavy equipment operation are a plus; willingness to obtain necessary certifications if not already held.
